Tinola Sotanghon

1 pcWhole chicken, cut up

1 pcOnion, chopped

1 tspGarlic, minced

2 tbspsGinger, cut into strips

5 cups Water

2 cups Upo or sayote, chunks

2 tbsps Oil

300 gms Good Life Premium Vermicelli

Sili leaves

Salt or fish sauce to taste


1.Soak Premium Vermicelli on water for 10 minutes, and then blanch in boiling water for 10 seconds, drain

2.Saute garlic and onion in a pot. Add ginger and saute' for 1 minute.

3.Mix in chicken and cook for 3 minutes

4.Add water and simmer for 30-40 minutes. Season with fish sauce or salt

5.Add upo or sayote and cook for 5 more minutes or until it is soft. Turn off heat and add sili leaves. 

6.Place cooked sotanghon on a soup bowl and transfer tinola onto sotanghon bowl.
